Privacy Policy
체곡체곡 (the "App") values your privacy. This policy explains the information the App processes, why it is used, how it is stored, and your rights.
You can use the App without creating an account or signing in. Records you enter are stored primarily on your device. The App uses Google Firebase services for usage statistics, error analysis, and push notifications.
1. Information We Process
Records You Enter
The App stores the following information on your device to provide record management features:
- Weight and target weight
- Food descriptions and meal categories
- Exercise names and durations
- Notes you write
- Record dates, times, and the time zone at the time of recording
- Record creation and modification times
These records are not transmitted to a separate server operated by the App's operator and are not directly sent as Firebase Analytics events or user properties.
App Settings
The App stores your selected settings on your device:
- Weight unit
- Display mode and app language
- Default time-of-day filter for graphs and the first day of the week
- Whether to display your target weight
- Push notification preference
Firebase Analytics (Usage Statistics)
To understand how the App is used, the SDK may automatically collect:
- Usage information, such as app installation, launches, screen views, and engagement time
- Device model, operating system, and app version
- Language and general geographic information
- Installation-related identifiers, such as an app instance identifier
- Advertising identifiers or identifier for vendor, where available under your operating system and device settings
The App does not set an account identifier or your name as an Analytics user ID.
Firebase Crashlytics (Error Analysis)
To investigate app crashes and errors, the following information is collected:
- Crash logs, error messages, and stack traces
- Error occurrence time and app version
- Device model, operating system, and device status
- Installation-related identifiers, including the Crashlytics Installation UUID and Firebase installation ID
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Push Notifications)
The following information is processed to support push notifications:
- Push notification registration tokens
- Firebase installation IDs
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) tokens on iOS
- Notification permission status and notification preferences
Technical information necessary to provide Firebase services, such as IP addresses, may also be processed when communicating with those services.
2. How We Use Information
The App uses information for the following purposes:
- Saving, viewing, editing, and deleting weight, food, and exercise records
- Displaying calendars, graphs, and target weight
- Maintaining your selected app settings
- Exporting backup files and restoring records at your request
- Investigating errors and improving app stability
- Analyzing usage statistics and improving features
- Providing push notifications
3. External Services and International Processing
The App uses Google's Firebase services for usage statistics, error analysis, and push notifications. Information necessary for these features is transmitted to and processed by Google when you use the services.
Weight, food, and exercise records and notes you enter are not directly sent to Firebase as analytics data.
Firebase uses global infrastructure. Related information may therefore be processed or stored in countries outside the Republic of Korea. Processing locations, retention, and deletion practices may vary depending on the service used and Google's policies.
For more information, please refer to:
4. Retention and Deletion
Records and Settings Stored on Your Device
Records and settings are kept in the App's storage.
You can delete individual records or delete all records using the data reset feature in Settings. Your target weight and app settings remain after a data reset.
If you uninstall the App and the operating system removes its data, information in the App's storage on that device is also removed. However, exported backup files and copies retained in operating system or cloud backups must be managed separately.
Information Processed by Firebase
- According to Google's documentation, Crashlytics begins the deletion process for crash traces and associated identifiers after retaining them for 90 days.
- Analytics information is retained and deleted according to the service's data retention settings and Google's policies. Aggregated statistics may be subject to different retention practices.
- Push notification tokens and installation identifiers are handled according to Firebase's retention and deletion policies for each identifier.
Uninstalling the App or resetting records does not immediately delete information previously transmitted to Firebase.
5. Backup and Restore
When you use the backup feature, the App creates a .chegok file containing all records, notes, record times and time zones, target weight, and target weight display settings. The file also includes its creation time, app version, and file format information.
Backup files are saved to a location you choose. If you select cloud storage, the storage provider's privacy policy may apply.
Backup files are not separately encrypted. Because they contain personal records, please store them securely and take care when sharing them with others.
During restoration, the App stores a copy of your records and target weight settings from immediately before restoration in its internal storage to support undoing the restoration. Deleting records or resetting data does not delete every existing backup copy.
App data may also be included in system backups depending on your device and operating system backup settings.
6. Your Rights and Settings
You can manage your information in the following ways:
- View, edit, or delete records in the App.
- Delete all records using the data reset feature in Settings.
- Change or clear your target weight separately in Settings.
- Turn off push notifications in the App's settings or change notification permissions in your device's system settings.
- Delete exported backup files from the locations where you saved them.
- Contact us using the details below to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing of personal information.
Turning off notifications does not stop Analytics or Crashlytics data collection. The App currently does not provide separate controls to disable usage statistics or error reporting.
The operator cannot directly access or delete records stored only on your device. Please manage those records within the App. For requests concerning Firebase information, we will explain whether the request can be processed and the necessary steps, to the extent that the relevant information can be identified.
7. Information Security
Records and settings are stored in the App's storage managed by the operating system. Information transmitted to Firebase services is processed through those services' encrypted communications.
Backup files contain personal records and are not separately encrypted. Please protect them by using device locks and appropriate storage access settings.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy takes effect on October 5, 2026.
If the App's features or information processing practices change, we will announce the changes and their effective date on this page.
